Behavioral Health Pilot Program

Hello and thank you for joining us at Please Pass the Love. The purpose of this project is to see if using behavioral health technology (aka an app) can help Please Pass the Love get more coping skills, and mental health supports, to students who may otherwise not be getting these supports anywhere else. Our goal for this pilot program is to increase access to mental health resources for high school students in the state of Iowa. For now, we are starting small with the hope of expanding the program in the fall of 2022.

In this program, you have the opportunity to use one of five apps to track your progress, gain knowledge about mental health, and develop your mental health skills.

If you are ever uncomfortable or overwhelmed, you can talk to your teacher, counselor, or access any of the crisis lines we have provided. If anyone is having thoughts of suicide or is unsure of their ability to maintain the safety of themselves or others, please utilize crisis services. For 24/7 crisis support, you can call the National Suicide Hotline at (800) 784-2433 or text “HOME” to the Crisis Text Line at 741741. If you need immediate attention and/or your concerns are life-threatening, please call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department. This pilot program is not a substitute for mental health or medical treatment.

There are many ways to get involved with our Behavioral Health Technology Program. Are you a teacher/Staff Member, School Administrator, High School Youth, parent, or potential volunteer? Are you passionate about mental health? If you are interested in participating in this program in the Fall of 2022 or are simply intrigued about Mental Health Technology, please fill out the following google form.
