Does your tan extender deposit any color or is it just like any other body lotion (because instructions say wash your hands after application)?

Our tan extender is not a normal body lotion. It is specially designed to extend the life and look of your tan – whether it is from self-tanner, spray tan, indoor tanning bed or sun. It also works as a daily moisturizer. It contains a low percentage of DHA, an ingredient that makes the product effective and different from normal body lotions. Because of DHA (which extends the life of your tan), you need to wash your hands after application to prevent unwanted stains on your palms. Although, despite that ingredient, the product does not work as a self-tanner.

Is this paraben free?

All our products are paraben free, cruelty free, vegan, gluten free and made with certified organic oils and extracts.

What if you miss a spot? How would I cover it?

If you miss a spot, no need to worry! All you have to do is go over the missed spot and give it a few hours. After a few hours you won’t be able to tell any difference :)

What is the difference between the face serum and self tanning body oil other than a few ingredients?

The body tanner is a dry oil. This means the tanner soaks into the skin better and faster and does not leave any oily residue compared to normal body oils. Compared to the body tanning oil, the facial tanner is a serum which includes Rosehip Oil, additional vitamins and more intense moisturizers.

How long does the tan last and how often is re-application needed?

The sunless tan lasts from 3-5 days, depending on your skin type and how many layers you applied. It is very important to moisturize your skin every day after you achieved desired tan. You can use our tan extender body lotion which is a perfect to be used with our self tanning oil.

How long after applying self tanning body oil should I wait to apply lotion/body moisturizer?

Basically we recommend to wait until the sunless tan develops completely (i.e. 24 hours). However, if you feel you need to apply body lotion (after you have applied the self tanning oil) we would recommend to wait at least 8 hours. We suggest using natural and light body lotions in order to minimize potential negative effects of body lotion to the process of developing a sunless tan ( i.e body lotion can stop the process of developing a sunless tan).

Is your facial selt nanner non comedogenic?

Yes it is. It won’t clog your pores. That is one of the many benefits that make our customers SO happy with our products!

About how many applications can you get out of one bottle of self tanning body oil?

One 8 fl. Oz. bottle contains enough oil for 8-10 full body applications.

Are your products cruelty free?

Yes. All our products are cruelty-free.

How do you achieve a streak free tan?

The key to streak free tan is to spread the self tanner in circular motions covering all the areas you would like to tan. A tan is only as good as the preparation and application! Before applying the self tanner, exfoliate (preferably 24 hours in advance) and moisturize dry skin areas such as the elbows, knees, wrists, and ankles. This prevents the tanning oil or serum from clinging to the dry patches and causing a blotchy finish. Once your skin is prepped, apply self tanner in circular motions with a high quality, clean tanning glove/mitt (unless otherwise advised by the product label). Always remember to wait until the self tanner has absorbed into the skin before putting on clothing.

How to avoid orangey tan?

Orangey tan is usually an indication that too much self tanning oil is being applied at one time. If you have a difficult time reducing the application level, we suggest applying the self tanning oil, then waiting an hour, and taking a shower to remove the excess tanning oil to prevent the color from developing into orange tones. If you are already applying daily, wait longer between applications (every other day or every 3rd day). Keep in mind, skin type of every individual customer is also a factor! Light-skinned people have to be much more careful about strong DHA product application.

Is self tanning safe?

Self tanning is the safest known way to get a gorgeous tan. It’s no secret to anyone anymore that excessive exposure to the sun or tanning beds does really bad things to your skin. Things like wrinkling, dark spots, and even skin cancer. In fact, in August 2014, the Surgeon General of the United States issued a warning about tanning in tanning beds and under the sun. The reason for his warning? A 200% increase in deadly melanoma cases since 1973. Because doctors (and the Surgeon General) have done such a great job getting the word out about this epidemic, people are now turning to self tanning products in record numbers to get the perfect tan– and also to keep their skin safe.

What shade of tan will this give? Light, medium or dark?

Our self-tanning oil and face serum are buildable products. The first application will give you a light tan. If you desire a darker tan, simply reapply again the following day and so on until you reach the desired color. Once you have the color you were after, simply reapply every 4-5 days to maintain the tan.

Does this have sunblock in it?

Our self tanners can provide great color, but they won’t protect you from the sun as they do not contain SPF.
